Currently, the Fayetteville Animal Shelter is in need of funds to support capital improvements and community programs. A metal roof, soundproofing, fencing, new antibacterial flooring in the kennels as well as diagnostic equipment is needed. Pets in Crisis (for financial or medical hardship, animals can receive free room and board at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter for 10 days), Pet Food Bank, Low Cost Spay and Neuter, Low cost Vaccination/Microchip, Seniors for Seniors (Senior Pets fostered or adopted by our aging community members) programs all need financial support. Friends of the Fayetteville Animal Shelter board of directors is composed of 2 veterinarians with extensive experience at shelters, four members of the Fayetteville area, and was cofounded by a former director of the Fayetteville Animal Shelter with 25 years experience.
Friends of the Fayetteville Animal Shelter can raise money through public education and the solicitation of donations via memorials,on line advertising, bequests, fundraising events and the procurement of grant money to support these much needed programs.
Friends of the Fayetteville Animal Shelter is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established to coordinate fundraising activities that directly benefit the animals served by the Fayetteville Animal Shelter and associated community programs.
